Dive into Devising: process of creation and personal revelations

Workshop by Sanja Krsmanović Tasić

This Devising workshop is for anyone interested to embark on a journey of personal revelations and development and learning skills that can be also used in a classroom and/or drama studio. It is a devised theatre and dance workshop that focuses on the expression of the body and voice. The techniques that will be used have been developed by Sanja in her more than 40 years dedicated work in the realm of theatre and dance, through working with masters of contemporary XX and XXI st century theatre: Peter Brook’s Yoshi Oida, Eugenio Barba’s Torgeir Wethal, the master of biomechanics Genadi Bogdanov, Grotowski’s Rena Mirecka and Zygmut Molik and others. Through researching, developing and creating material will be shaped that could be montaged into meaningful scenes and performance. The level of skill and knowledge is not essential, as the workshop gives space for individual expression, but also a space for challenging personal boundaries and restraints. This multidisciplinary workshop will also include work on physical and verbal expression in the borderline of theatre and dance.
