She began her professional music career in 1992 at Ankara Fine Arts High School. She completed her undergraduate (2000), master’s (2003), and doctoral (2010) programs in Music Education at Gazi University’s Faculty of Education. In 1998, she participated in Creative Drama Applications and Orff-Schulwerk® Applications instructor training with Nalan Olgun for a year to specialize in early childhood music education. In 2019, she completed the 1st and 2nd Stage Creative Drama trainings at the Contemporary Drama Association. In 2023 and 2024, she completed the 1st and 2nd level Orff-Schulwerk® Music Pedagogy training in Finland with a scholarship from the Carl Orff Foundation. In addition, she has participated in numerous national and international trainings and workshops on various pedagogies, methods, and approaches in music education, becoming an expert in this field. Since 2006, she has authored and edited numerous articles, books, curricula, and textbooks.
She started her career as a music teacher in 2001 within the Ministry of National Education (MEB), working with various types of schools and age groups, particularly in Fine Arts High Schools. In addition, she taught music education courses at Ankara University from 2017 to 2019 and at TED University from 2019 to 2023. Currently, she teaches instrument lessons at the Faculty of Education of the Music and Fine Arts University and a Fine Arts High School. She also provides flute, piano, music, and movement education and instructor training for various age groups at the Public Education Center and under the Anadolu Orff-Schulwerk Association (Orffder). Additionally, since 2021, she has served as the vice president of the board of directors at Orffder.
